Terms of Service

The service

ShopRecap connects to your Shopify store with read-only access and sends you a weekly informational email summarizing what happened in your store: totals, changes, top sellers, low stock, and a suggested focus for the week.

Your account

To use ShopRecap you must be at least 18 and using it for business purposes. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. For now, each account connects one store. You are responsible for everything that happens under your login, so keep your password to yourself.

Your responsibilities

By using ShopRecap, you confirm that:

• · You own or administer the Shopify store you connect and have authority to grant read-only access to its data.
• · You will keep your API credentials secure, and rotate them in Shopify if you believe they have been exposed.
• · You will not use ShopRecap in a way that violates Shopify's terms or applicable law.

We are not responsible for actions Shopify takes on your account, including rate limits, scope changes, or suspensions.

Acceptable use and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, resell access, or violate these terms or the law. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused portion of anything you have prepaid.

The brief is informational

Every figure in your brief is computed directly from your store data. The paragraphs around those figures are generated by an AI to help you read them quickly. The brief is informational only. It is not financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice, and you are responsible for business decisions you make based on it. If a number in your brief looks off, please email us. Always reconcile important figures against your Shopify admin before acting.

Availability and warranty disclaimer

ShopRecap is provided as is. We work hard to be reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that every brief arrives exactly on schedule. Scheduled maintenance and Shopify or email-provider outages can delay a brief.

Subscription and billing

ShopRecap costs $9 per month or $90 per year after a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial. Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge you on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll keep receiving briefs until then, and we won't charge you again after.

Except as described in these terms or required by law, fees are non-refundable. If you think we have charged you in error, email us and a real person will sort it out.

Changes to the service

We may modify, add, or discontinue features of ShopRecap with reasonable notice by email. If a change materially reduces what you're paying for, you may cancel and receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current period.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make a material change we will email you at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use ShopRecap after that means you accept the new terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShopRecap's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Indiana.

Severability

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Entire agreement

These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and ShopRecap about the service.
